Gyöngyvér is a Graduate Architect, researcher, and sessional tutor, specialised into water sensitive design. She works in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, and planning.

Her PhD research focused on developing alternative urban densification strategies for cities facing the combined challenge of climate change and population growth. Gyöngyvér's PhD formed part of a collaboration between Monash Art Design & Architecture and the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities.

Gyöngyvér's passion for socially and environmentally sustainable architecture is underpinned by hands-on experience gained through skills-based volunteering in Europe and Asia.

She is currently teaching 2nd and 3rd Year Design Studios at Monash University.
