On 20 September, join the next Future Forum in Adelaide to hear about how emerging design ideas can influence health and wellbeing.

Future Forum_Wellbeing by Design is a conversation across a range of industries centred on wellbeing and how emerging design ideas can positively influence people’s health. This is the fourth Future Forum, and the first with a new expanded format that includes keynote addresses, panel discussion, interactive audience participation and informal networking with food and wine.

Future Forum is convened by Adelaide architect Dino Vrynios, who explains that the “aim is to talk about a fence at the top of the cliff as well as the ambulance at the bottom.” “Good design can be transformative to people’s health, but most of the current thinking is limited to healthcare facilities. Wellbeing is a complex interrelationship between physical, mental, emotional and social factors that contribute to overall happiness.

Keynote speakers are Gabrielle Kelly, founding Director of the SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre, and Professor Alison Kitson of Flinders University. They will be joined in a panel discussion by Julianne Parkinson (CEO of the Global Centre for Modern Ageing), Rosina Di Maria (Principal at Woods Bagot) and Commercial & General Executive Director Simon Toovey. The forum will also hear from Health and Wellbeing Minister the Hon. Stephen Wade and The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Sandy Verschoor.
