Parlour works with Corporate Partners and Institutional Partners. We greatly value this support and the collaboration we have with our Partners, which enables us to deliver a wide range of initiatives and support the large Parlour community.

Parlour is always interested to develop further partnerships. Find out about joining us as Parlour Partner here.

Corporate Partners

We are very pleased to have strong relationships with a range of corporate and partners. In addition to the financial support our Partners offer, we also benefit from their insight and advice. Our Partners understand the meaning and value of our work, and all are strong supporters.

AWS is been a fantastic partner since Parlour first became an incorporated association in 2015. AWS brings a particular focus on events, and is our core Partner on the Seasonal Salons.

Brickworks supports the Parlour event program by hosting sessions at Brickworks Design Studios around Australia – and they are great hosts and the studios certainly know how to put on a fabulous event!

BEC helps spread the word about Parlour’s events, activities and website content into practices and organisations across Australia.

Institutional Partners

We receive valuable support from our institutional partners, many of whom we have long-term relationships with. Our university partners also help spread the work to the coming generation of built environment professionals.

The University of Melbourne has been a Partner since the very inception of Parlour. The university was a research partner on the research project that led to Parlour, and then became our principal institutional partner. The Melbourne School of Design has collaborated with Parlour on many initiatives, including the two-day symposium Transformations: Action on Equity.

The University of Queensland is where Parlour began. Among many shared activities, Parlour and UQ collaborate on the Parlour LAB series with SAHANZ.

The University of Newcastle joined as a Parlour Partner in 2019. We particularly value the insight they offer into matters outside Australia’s capital cities.

The University of Tasmania joined as a Parlour Partner in 2019. We collaborate on events and participate in classes.

The Association of Architecture Schools of Australasia has been a Parlour Partner since 2019 and brings connection and insight into the wider academic community.

The Australian Institute of Architects was an industry research partner on the research partner that led to Parlour. This led, among other things, to the Institute’s Gender Equity Policy and the founding of the National Committee for Gender Equity. The Institute has been a Parlour Partner a number of times since 2015.
