Lynda Roberts

Public Assembly
<p>Lynda Roberts is principal of Public Assembly, a creative studio focused on the social dynamics of public space. Building on her early career experience with Virginia Kerridge Architect and post-graduate studies in architecture at RMIT, Lynda operates at the intersection of art, design and civic systems. </p> <p>Over the past twenty years, Lynda has worked in local government, community and tertiary sectors. She often approaches projects in-situ, developing frameworks and spatial conditions that support creative thinking through action as an expanded form of architecture. </p> <p>From 2014-17 Lynda was Senior Public Art Program Manager at the City of Melbourne. In this role she developed the Public Art Framework 2014-17 and delivered a suite of new projects including Test Sites and the Melbourne Biennial Lab at Queen Victoria Market. </p> <p>Lynda has taught into the RMIT School of Art and School of Architecture and has supported emerging practitioners through a number of interdisciplinary art laboratories across Australia. She continues this work as Senior Coordinator of RMIT Creative Student Life and remains a committed advocate for the critical role artists play within our built environment.</p>
