Nikhila Madabhushi

<p>Nikhila Madabhushi is a registered architect and educator. </p> <p>Nikhila has accumulated almost a decade of professional experience since graduating from Master of Architecture at Deakin University. Her emerging practice looks to collaborate, research, think and create to form culturally and environmentally responsive contributions towards projects that shape our built and spatial environments. An aim to unify the tangible and intangible factors that influence one's positive experience within architecture is an ongoing theme explored in the work of the budding practice. </p> <p>Nikhila couples her work in practice with post-graduate study and education. </p> <p>In 2017, she was a recipient of the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship, awarded by Australia Council for the Arts. This has enabled her to pursue her passion of exploring how architecture might activate social change, via undertaking the Master of Disaster, Design and Development at RMIT, including local and global fieldwork associated with the degree.</p> <p>Nikhila maintains ongoing roles as a teaching associate at MADA (Monash Art Design & Architecture) and design tutor at Deakin University, for design studio across various year levels. She is regularly asked to guest critique on design studio panels at both universities where she relishes the opportunity to explore and debate spatial concepts, design thinking, activism via architecture and beyond.</p>
