Karen Ognibene

Director | Architect
KO&Co Architecture

Karen studied architecture in Brisbane and Milan, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) in 2002. She established KO&CoArchitecture in 2013 to focus her career on varying scales of community, mixed use and multi residential developments alongside private residential design and education facilities.

Karen's passion is socially responsible architecture and many of her projects are award winning affordable, social and specialist disability housing developments. Karen’s passion in this space commenced during her university studies, when she completed her undergraduate thesis on architecture and homelessness. She firmly believes architects can and should make a difference to the lives of all and that good design can enhance an individual’s mental and physical wellbeing.

Karen believes the finest architectural outcomes are best achieved with collaborative design and construction processes. The success of this approach is evident in the portfolio of work KO&CoArchitecture has completed since establishment.
