Leah Gallagher

Architect + Director
KIN Architects

Having spent seven years working alongside mentor Kieron Gait on award-winning boutique residential projects, Leah is now defining her own direction with Marjorie. She brings with her a keen interest in the creation of new and renovated homes and enjoys the process of intensive collaboration with clients.

The knowledge and experience Leah has gained in practice is shared with students through her significant contribution to teaching at both Bond University and the University of Queensland, including with a UQ Social Outreach Studio initiative in Far North Queensland Indigenous communities.

Leah is a Chapter Councillor for the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) and her genuine and infectious enthusiasm for the built environment and the people who inhabit our cities has led to her involvement with advocacy and local heritage issues. In 2020 Leah joined the AIA Qld Heritage Committee and in 2018 Leah was a State Juror for the AIA Queensland Architecture Awards. She is also a recipient of the 2018 AIA Dulux Study Tour Prize, which recognises excellence in design, community involvement and education.
