<p>Steph is a Chinese Australian born on D'harawal Country. She is a recently registered architect practicing at Carter Williamson Architects on Wangal Country, working and learning valuable lessons through a variety of projects from the restoration of the state heritage listed Hinchcliff House with AMP Capital to public buildings with Inner West Council.</p> <p>Steph completed her studies at the University of New South Wales, the University of Sydney and participated in a Masters exchange at the University of Newcastle, UK where she was able to explore through writing, architectural pedagogy and its' affect on the mental health of her peers. </p> <p>Her interests are towards:<br /> - Stewardship/climate justice, the role of architects in it and the need for the profession to take hold of its' responsibility in designing in a closed loop system for the sake of people and the environment </p> <p>- Caring for Country as a necessary way to respect and mend our relationship with our First Peoples and the land in light of the climate crisis</p> <p>- Moving towards an architecture that is not driven by greed or the ocular</p> <p>- Passing on, sharing and teaching those who are younger </p>
