Mia Willemsen

<p>Mia is an architect with a passion for computational design, used to explore design and create efficiencies in project workflows and documentation. </p> <p>As an architect at Hassell in Melbourne, she’s developed her project management and documentation skills working across multiple sectors in large teams on complicated projects, including the Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Stations, the Australian Ballet redevelopment and the Geelong Performing Arts Centre redevelopment.</p> <p>Mia holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Melbourne where she is also a sessional tutor, teaching the second-year undergraduate subject Construction Analysis. Her master’s thesis, ‘Hyperbolic Paraboloid’, explored the ruled surface through computational design and construction. </p> <p>In May 2018, Mia was a workshop participant in the Smartgeometry (sg) conference in Toronto, a global forum for the formation of the new language of digital architecture. </p>
