<p>Catherine is an associate director at MGS Architects where she leads design management and is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s commitment to a legacy of intelligent, adventurous and creative design is reflected in its day-to-day processes. Her experience includes educational, institutional and social housing projects that have received recognition for design excellence at state and national levels.</p> <p>She is interested in celebrating ambitious ideas through an attention to the nuances and small details of architecture. Much of her work focuses on exploring how the idiosyncrasies and incidentals of a project can make for engaging and sociable spaces. </p> <p>Catherine has managed, led and co-directed design for clients including The Graduate Union of the University of Melbourne, the Australian Ballet School, VincentCare and the Victorian Government. Outside of MGS, Catherine has taught at Melbourne University, been a guest critic at RMIT and Monash Universities, and has been an invited guest editor of Architect Victoria.</p>
