<p>Since beginning her design career in 2001, Allison has worked on an array of projects from high-end residential to education projects. During this time she has also be working directly with Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, Southwest Victoria, Papua New Guinea, India and Western Australia.</p> <p>She was awarded a University of Melbourne Knowledge Transfer Award in 2009 to continue her consultations with Indigenous town-camp communities in the Northern Territory. She specialises in remote delivery and project management of both interior design and architectural projects.</p> <p>Allison has also been a Project and Design Architect for the past 9 years, managing all aspects of projects from concept design to end of defects and liability period. Her significant experience is in indigenous housing, social housing, tourism, remote health, remote education, community development, commercial interiors, and feasibility studies. She joined Mode Design Group as the Darwin Office Assistant Studio Manager in 2016.</p> <p>Throughout the course of Allison's life she has also been working with at-risk youth through sport, recreation, and mentorship roles. She currently volunteers for the Midnight Basketball Programme in Darwin. She has also started to mentor young indigenous women through the Stars Foundation Program here in Darwin, Northern Territory in July 2017. </p> <p>Allison has also taught at various levels of architecture, design, and furniture design. She has just started supporting Charles Darwin University's Bachelor of Architecture program by acting as a guest critic in May of 2017.</p> <p>She has just finished a sabbatical in India volunteering for The Anganwadi Project in Anantapur, Andre Pradesh.</p> <p>She was the Organiser for Pecha Kucha Broome in 2015 and 2016.<br /></p>
