Her work with Reddog Architects and previously m3architecture has been the recipient of many design awards. The jury citation acknowledged that her “capacity as a design architect is outstanding, but she has also demonstrated a rare and immense commitment to the role that architectural leadership and involvement can play in much broader community and social conversations.” In particular Emma has had a consistent focus on improving and expanding her cultural literacy, social impact and knowledge of sustainable and regenerative design principles. She has an expertise in interiors and a broad understanding of horticulture and landscape design which support her expertise as an architect. Her research and writing has focused on the impact of design on marginalised communities and her design work has included collaborations with Indigenous, regional and rural communities both locally and abroad. She has extensive experience in engaging broad and diverse communities on complex projects including campus and precinct masterplans, remote community projects and regional food hubs.

In addition to her role as a design leader at Reddog Architects she has experience as a Project Manager for Architects Without Frontiers and has undertaken training in Humanitarian Design, Social Enterprise and Cultural Awareness. As a project architect she has daily experience in all facets of the design and the delivery process.
