<p>Emma's architectural background is in institutional, healthcare and residential buildings with a particular focus on the interior experience. She enjoys the process of finding innovative solutions to tight budgets and challenging briefs. Her work is underpinned by a strong focus on social and environmental sustainability and her peripheral design interests include horticulture, garden design and floral installation work.</p> <p>She is motivated to mentor and advocate for emerging female designers and to continue to develop Reddog's business and resourcing strategies to promote diversity and inclusivity. She has had a long association with Architects Without Frontiers as a project manager and volunteer designer. She is a fellow of the School of Social Entrepeneurs and a member of the Queensland Social Enterprise Council. </p> <p>Emma contributes to the architectural community through public speaking engagements, writing and research and as a sessional academic at the Queensland University of Technology and University of Queensland. She has written independently on topics as diverse as post-colonialism, subcultural urbanism, corporate social responsibility and transdisciplinary practice.</p>
