<p>Cherry Parsons is a registered architect and associate with CKDS Architecture, based in Newcastle and practising across the Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Sydney. With over 10 years of experience, Cherry has worked across a range of project typologies including residential (individual and multi-residential), commercial, public and educational buildings. </p> <p>Cherry has a keen interest in architectural advocacy and co-founded EmAGN Newcastle in 2012 to encourage discourse and facilitate opportunities for emerging architects within the city. She has travelled extensively throughout Scandinavia and USA on architectural study tours and collaborated with local villages to design and build health facilities in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Her interest in urban activism saw her travel to Brooklyn in 2013, to join with experiential design firm Interboro on a 3 month professional development scholarship. In 2014, Cherry was the recipient of the National Dulux Study Tour Award for emerging architects.</p> <p>Notable Projects:<br /> Tyree Energy Technologies Building UNSW (FJMT 2009-2012)<br /> Berner Street Residence (CKDS Architecture 2014-2016)</p>
