Alexandra McRobert

Concept Designer | Architectural Consultant
Land and Housing Corporation / Sole Trader

Having worked in architecture across industry, academia, and government, I am a registered architect and design professional with a passion for delivering better designed, equitable, and affordable housing for all residents.

Currently, I am working on concept designs and precinct analysis with the NSW Land and Housing Corporation to deliver social housing which is appropriately designed and located to better serve our residents and community.

I am also an experienced design consultant, acting as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court and was recently appointed to the Wollongong City Council Design Review Panel.

This work is supported by my doctoral research at Monash University which focused on housing affordability and the housebuilding industry, where I was also the Industrialised Housebuilding and Affordability theme coordinator at the Building 4.0 CRC. I have also worked locally as an architect, designing housing across a number of scales from granny flats through to large-scale mixed-use sustainable developments.
