<p>Esther is a senior architect with a background in community development. She understands and advocates for active participation in public projects, and is passionate about integrating social and cultural histories in place making. </p> <p>Esther has worked with architectural practices in London, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and Adelaide and has gained extensive architectural experience in educational and community facilities, urban design and master planning as well as public transport and heritage interpretation projects.</p> <p>Esther also works as an independent artist and designer. Her works includes set design for Australian Dance Theatre, Country Arts SA as well as Visual Arts and Digital Media Exhibition for the Oz-Asia Festival.</p> <p>Esther works collaboratively and possesses an underlying pragmatic sensibility that enables her to navigate through complex stakeholder relationships to deliver projects that are contextual, responsive and one of collective ownership. </p> <p>Awarded the 2017 South Australian Emerging Architect Prize, Esther has successfully lead and managed the design and delivery of public and community base projects of varying scale within urban centers and in rural townships nationally and internationally.</p> <p>A mother of two young girls, Esther has maintained a continuous working life. She has undertaken several pro-bono community based construction projects in Asia and Central America, and continue to explore opportunities to work in this capacity. </p> <p>She lectures and tutors at universities, is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, the National Australian Women In Construction), Interpretation Australia and is also a member of the Governing Council at the East Adelaide Primary School.</p>
