The team at the Public Realm Lab is looking for an experienced graduate of architecture or architect to join them.

Public Realm Lab is a consulting architecture practice that works before, during and beyond the delivery of buildings. They are facilitators, advocates, advisers, researchers and designers.

The small Public Realm team is currently working on: activation and placemaking projects, community and civic buildings, medium density affordable housing, and workplace projects. Clients include not-for-profit housing organisations, local Councils across Melbourne and Victoria, and Universities; and they regularly collaborate with larger practices, artists, industrial designers, ecologists and research partners.

Public Realm is looking for an experienced graduate or architect to join the team. The practice supports flexible working and will consider applications on a part-time (minimum three days per week) or full-time basis.

You will work on:

  • client-focused design and documentation production including modelling, research and analysis, preparing diagrams, reports and documentation as directed by Project Architects / Principals.
  • effective project admin including preparing agendas, issuing material, taking minutes, assisting in Contract Administration
  • efficient practice admin including things like printing, ordering ink, helping with fee proposals, preparing bids (yep, we all do this!)
  • communicating with physical model making
