Queensland-based Happy Haus seeks a part-time architect or experienced graduate (with 3+ years residential experience) for a six-month contract.

Architect or Experienced Graduate (3+ years residential experience)

Flexible – 3 to 4 days per week – Negotiated with the successful candidate

The Term

Six-month contract (maternity cover with the opportunity to potentially continue)

Required Areas of Expertise
  • Producing drawings by hand and CAD (Revit) at the various stages of design and documentation process
  • Managing clients, consultants and industry partners
  • Resource management on projects to ensure everything runs on time, every time
  • Attending site throughout construction, as required
Essential Core Competencies
  • Be an Architect or Architecture Graduate with 3+ years work experience in private practice in Australia
  • Be an excellent documenter, coordinator and communicator
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Revit (highly proficient)
  • Ability to create 3D modelling with relevant software packages such as SketchUp
  • Be a reliable and collaborative team participant and have a methodical and organised approach to work tasks
  • Experience in managing the design process including master planning, schematic design, town planning, design development, contract documentation and building approvals
  • Have an applied knowledge of codes and legislation
  • Have experience in residential design and project management
Additional Skills and Experience
  • Experience in the use of a range of other computer applications (ie Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Rendering using Lumion.
