The Architects Registration Board of Victoria is looking for a Principal Architect to oversee its compliance activities.

This is an opportunity to join a small team of professionals committed to delivering improved regulatory outcomes for both consumers and the industry. Reporting to the new ARBV CEO, the Principal Architect will be a key member of the ARBV leadership team.

This is a full-time role, with the possibility of flexible working arrangements.

The ARBV’s compliance function is part of a multi-faceted, risk based and evidence led program of regulatory activity. The Principal Architect will draw on specialist technical knowledge to drive the innovative and strategic leadership of the compliance function and to deliver strong regulatory outcomes. You will oversee the ARBV’s compliance activities; including investigations (proactive and reactive), complaints management, education and practice guidance. Your role will contribute to the development and delivery of a robust multi-faceted regulatory strategy for the ARBV. To succeed in this role, you will draw on a high standard of broad architectural knowledge gained from demonstrated experience across a range of building types (including multi-story buildings) and will have a thorough understanding of the National Construction Code and of the legal framework that supports the design and construction of compliant buildings.
