Helen Lardner is the director of HLCD Pty Ltd, an award-winning and innovative heritage architecture consultancy. She is passionate about enriching our environment with good design that layers new uses and meanings on our valued past.

Helen is a strong advocate for twentieth century design and the sensitive reuse of complex places. She enjoys writing and speaking about innovative examples to inspire others and working in multi-disciplinary teams to create exciting futures for places with heritage values.

With over twenty five years experience, Helen is highly respected nationally and overseas. She was a historic heritage expert on the Australian Heritage Council and completed a six year term on the Victorian Heritage Council. She is currently Chair of the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Conservation Advisory Committee and has provided advice on a number of Australia's World Heritage places. Helen is an international World Heritage Advisor for ICOMOS, and Chair of the Organising Committee for the 21st Triennial General Assembly of ICOMOS to be held in 2023.
