Tamara Kerr

Architectural Graduate
SJB

As a young architectural graduate Tamara Kerr is interested in the interplay of people with architecture. From her experience in Perth designing improvements to one of the historic gems of the University of Western Australia to evaluating the pop-up scene and festival constructions, she has developed a technique to evaluate one of the essential dynamics of a building –its interaction with the people who use and view it.

This approach informed her work in commercial and retail settings for Hames Sharley in Sydney and now with the design team at SJB architects. Advancing technological products permit a more nuanced understanding of architecture and the creation of experiences for clients, residents and visitors in distinct urban spaces. Tamara is interested in technological edges for architecture and how improved computer-based tools can be used to enhance relationships in the design process and the result for the community.
