Qianyi is a co-founder of Sibling Architecture; a practice that produces socially engaged outcomes from within a participatory and research-based studio environment. Sibling was established in Melbourne in 2012 and now also has a Sydney studio. In 2018 Sibling presented New Agency: Owning Your Future, a live research exhibition developed at the RMIT Design Hub.

Qianyi is currently leading a diverse range of projects in NSW including the Bega Valley Regional Gallery, a pair of multigenerational houses in inner city Sydney and play spaces for a bilingual early learning centre in the city of Parramatta. She is currently on the NSW AIA Chapter Committee for Education and Research, and has led design studios at Monash University, RMIT and the University of Melbourne.
In 2016, Qianyi was the recipient of the Dulux Study Tour award for emerging talent and has been invited to speak at various events including the SCCI Architecture Hub, ACCA, Emagn, Parlour and MPavilion speaker series.
