Monash University’s XYX Lab is seeking expressions of interest for PhD scholarships (local and international).

A PhD through the XYX Lab in the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture at Monash University consists of an extensive, independent research project on a gender-sensitive topic, supported by two expert academic supervisors. This is enhanced by coursework units that provide the skills required to make an impact in academia, industry, government or the wider community. The study will result in a research thesis or alternative approved output, which makes a valuable contribution to the current body of knowledge on gender and place.

The key goal of the MADA XYX Lab is to produce knowledge about how space and design shape the causes, consequences and approaches to understanding gender inequity in Australia. The XYX Lab communicates through innovative mediums to speak not only to practitioners and scholars in design, architecture and urbanism, but also to those working in policy and social services.
